Chattanooga, TN Progressive Rehabilitation
The Doctors and our team at True Wellness Chiropractic have completed extensive
postgraduate training in the field of manual medicine and rehabilitation.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that patients who fully understand
their condition and engage in an active exercise program get well faster
and stay well longer.
Whether you suffer from an acute injury or chronic pain, we will find or
create a rehabilitation program to meet your individual needs. A teamwork
approach is utilized, with you as an equal participant in your health
care. You will become very educated about your specific neuro-muscular
condition and empowered to take an active role in regaining your health,
performance, and wellness. Upon completion of your program, you will be
stronger and better able to prevent re-injury.
Not every person is the same, and neither is their condition. We teach
our patient's special "blueprint" exercises designed just
for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These
exercises can be performed in office for any assistance or in the comfort
of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction
by as much as 30-40%.
We also provide several physio therapy modalities at our facility, such as:
Electrical Muscle Stimulation - uses electric impulses to elicit muscle contraction. These impulses
mimic normal activity via the central nervous system, and is often a complementary
technique for sports training.
Ultrasound - uses heated sound waves and applies the energy to soft tissues and joints.
The fast-moving waves essentially massage soft tissues effortlessly and,
in most cases, painlessly. Alleviates muscle spasms, reduces inflammation
and swelling, improves range of motion, helps increase blood flow, and
lowers pain and stiffness
Heat/Ice Therapy - heat and ice is one of the oldest and most common types of passive,
non-invasive therapies. A wide variety of results can be achieved, including
increased blood supply, muscle relaxation, and pain relief.
Cervical Mechanical Traction- the goal of traction is to reduce pain and to help a person be more functional.
Every patient is fully evaluated to determine the best treatment for his
or her circumstances.
Vibration Therapy - with regular use, vibration therapy can reduce back and joint pain by
releasing lubrication to the joints. Clinical studies have shown that
WBV can vastly improve muscle strength, performance and flexibility. There
is also documentation that it can enhance blood and lymph circulation,
which is critical to the regeneration of damaged tissues. Another use
for WBV is to assist the circulatory system's ability to deliver vital
nutrients and hormones throughout the body.
Cold Laser - works by supplying energy to the body in the form of photons of light.
The tissues and cells then absorb this energy, where it is used to accelerate
the normal rate of tissue healing.allows for quicker recovery when some
chronic injuries or issues are not responding as they should to more conservative
- Reduces swelling, leading to decreased pain, less stiffness, and a faster
return to normal joint and muscle function.
- Accelerates cellular reproduction and growth.
- Stimulates fibroblast development and accelerates collagen synthesis in
- Reduces formation of scar tissue, leading to more complete healing, with
less chance of weakness and re-injury later.
- Increases blood flow to the injured area.
- Speeds nerve cell processes which may decrease pain and numbness associated
with nerve-related conditions.
